Still have not gotten around to putting up the pictures from last post. They will eventually be up. Been busy going to the DOL office and then one of my best friends fly in from Brooklyn a few days earlier than I thought so been catching up with him. Have not really had any time to make any good posts, much less even check out the blogs that I routinely read.
Damn this economy sucks.
But this garage rules and I would like to have something like this one day…

Weekend Adventures

Well yesterday’s Import Alliance meet was a lot of fun. So many people came out from numerous states for the event. My buddy and I rode out to the city with a group of about 20 out-of-town Hondas and it was just relaxing cruising in one lane going 70 with all of them. We hung out with them for the remainder of the day, then I went home and slept because I was completely exhausted…not sure how I made it home without falling asleep at the wheel haha. But I took a lot of pictures and will post them after I get them uploaded. Also got a new kitten, my other cat that I have had since he was born and he died at 14 about 5 months ago and we have just now gotten around to getting another. So I will post pictures of her and my dog later on.

Yo y0 sorry I haven’t updated in a while…busy looking for another job, trying to sell the Integra to get something else, being lazy, playing video games, etc. Started breakdancing last week too. Stoked as hell about that, it is so much fun. The Import Alliance meet is this coming sunday. I will hopefully be able to post pictures from that. There is supposed to be a ton of people from all over the country coming out for it. So we will see how that goes. Not much else to say.

Teaser of things to come...
I’m out-

[Rant]
07 Apr 2009
Alright, this is something I have wanted to talk about, rant about, share my thoughts on, etc. It may just be with Honda guys, or it may be with all tuners alike, I am not sure. I have noticed that it has changed in like the past year or so, but whenever I am out cruising and see another car that I think looks pretty good, I give them deuces or the thumb up or something. Most of the time they just look at me and buzz off ahead of me. But, like I said it has changed in about the past year, and a lot more drivers will return the gesture and compliments.
I think that is the way that it should be. If I see a car that I dig on and can tell that the driver knows what he/she is doing or I can tell what type of driver or style he/she is into, then I will give him/her a nice gesture and most likely a compliment. I feel that up until recently, there has been such a loss of camaraderie in the tuning community. It is good to see that fellow tuners are starting to get this notion. I am not sure where it has come from, but it is good. It is just flat-out retarded when you go out of your way to compliment someone’s car and then they just continue gangsta’ leanin’ and blasting their Lil’ Jon or something. I think a lot of it came from the whole F&F (the first two) movies or something, or maybe the NFS games, I do not know. Not everyone is out to fucking streetrace. When I say “streetrace” I mean like street drag racing. And I am not into that shit.
The above stuff is moreso directed to when I am driving on the highway through town or on the interstate. When I am on backroads and throw deuces or thumb up, I always get it in return. I think there has always been a sort of camaraderie with those that tear up backroads and enjoy mountain runs versus the ones that stick to the highway and “streetracing”. I believe most of this has to do with the fact that tearing up backroads is not always a competitive thing. Sure, you can run with someone, but you can also run them by yourself. And even when you run with someone (it helps if you trust their driving) it can be competitive but at the same time it is you driving against yourself and competing with the road and not so much the other person you are running with. It is different when “streetracing”. So since it is more of an individual type of driving, it is easier for the camaraderie to come about with drivers that like to hit up the backroads or local touge if there is one.
Those are just my opinions, I understand some may disagree or whatever.

Follow-up…
07 Apr 2009
Follow-up post about the movie Sukiyaki Western Django that I posted about a couple days ago..
Sukiyaki Western Django is like a mix of Clint Eastwood-style spaghetti westerns and a samurai movie…so pretty much it has elements from both cultures while simultaneously being from the same time period. It takes place in what is supposed to be Nevada during the gold-rush but the two rival clans are Japanese. Quentin Tarantino is in it, he is the character that somewhat narrates the story, popping up here and there throughout the movie. There are no subtitles or dubbing. The English that the Japanese speak is actually pretty damn good. Of course there are accents, some thicker than others, but it is understandable and does not need dubbing or subtitles. The cinematography is pretty good as it was made less than 2 years ago. And the storyline rules pretty hard too.
Oh yeah, this guy rules so fucking hard…

Nothing too exciting to post about. Saw a silver R35 on the highway and an S2000 CR last night in the city. Both very beautiful obviously. First time seeing a CR for me in person. Did not get to snap any pics of it, not like it matters anyway because I am starting to believe my USB cord has been sucked into a black hole. Saw a white R35 today at a store that I went to and snapped a couple of it, but again, will not be able to post anything that I take pictures of until I find that blasted cord.
Onto other non-related subjects…
I purchased Kanye’s 808’s & Heartbreak today. I am warming up to it. It is quite different but it is not bad. Also got this movie today too:

Sakiyuki Western Django
Probably going to watch it tonight or tomorrow. Pretty stoked about it, Tarantino is in it and it just looks pretty bad ass. Has a typical Spaghetti Western style story line to it and I really dig those movies. It should rule.
